The painter Hassel Smith, a key figure in Bay Area Abstract Expressionism, passed away late last year. He will be honored with a tribute this Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 3pm at the San Francisco Art Institute campus at 800 Chestnut Street. Memories from family, friends and colleagues of the artist be followed by refreshments and music.
